Diverse Populations

The United States does have a very blended population. We have Asians, Hispanics, Africans, British, and anything else you can think of. The United states is trying to promote communication systems for all. It can be a bit of a struggle at times to understand the people from other countries. Then again, the foreigners are doing a great job of adapting to the environment here. Some of the things the Unites States struggles with is trying to make the communication between citizens possible. Many of the people living here are trying to learn english, so I think that we should provide more opportunity for them to do that. Some of the foreigners are almost in a completely different world. They have their own churches, markets, etc. For example, we have these things called Taquerias all over town. That is one of the so called markets that Hispanics gather at, and it is nearly all Hispanic. The United States government is doing a great job of trying to help these people as much as possible by providing housing and other necessities for the new immgrants. The United States is most likely the most diverse population in the world. The most dominant of the people are us Americans, followed by the Hispanics. The Hispanics are close behind us. Many immagrate for job opportunity and other things to help out their families. Overall, I think the United States government has handled having a diverse population very well.

My Favorite Places

My favorite place to go in my country is a wonderful place called Ono Island. It is located on the Florida-Alabama border. In other words, it is called the Florabama. My uncle owns a beach house there, right on the beach. We go there every summer, with my entire family. Alabama might not seem like the best place to go on a beach trip, but if you went there, you would agree with me. My uncles house includes a dock, and we take out jet-ski with us as well. One time, my cousin Kyle and I ran aground briefly, it was pretty funny, because we got a lot of crab-grass in the motor!
Some of the things we like to do there are go to the beach,(Duh!) swim at the dock, golf, and tube behind the jet ski. We most enjoy to golf. Because there are a series of great golf courses down there. Such as Lost Key, and Cotton Creek. We like to go to the beach a whole lot too. The only problem is we never get lucky. There are jellyfish a lot of the time, because during the time of the year that we visit there, the jellyfish population is throut the roof. But we get in the water anyway, not matter what sorts of pains we will have all over our bodies afterwords! We have had many of brutal nights after a day at the beach, and wake up the next morning covered in red lines all over us, from the stings. That is my favorite place, and I hope to go there for the rest of my life.

Terrorists in America

Here in America we have had several terrorist attacks. Some of the most brutal have occurred in the last couple years. 7 years ago, in New York, we had attacks on the Twin Towers. These were the tallest towers in America, and were the office place of thousands of Americans. Two air planes that were hijacked by Afghanistan hit the towers, killing over 2000 people. On that same day, there were 2 other planes that were hijacked. One hit in a field in Pennsylvania, and the other hit a building known as the Pentagon. There is also a rumor that another plane tried to hit the White House. This rumor may or may not be true.
We are making strides to try and solve these issues. America is tightening up a ton on air port security. We sent troops over to Afghanistan to try and help the issue. They are trying to track down the man who organized this whole disaster. Osama Bin Laden. Many say that he is the most wanted man on the face of the earth right now. I definately agree with them. I honestly have no idea the motives behind the attacks, maybe the amount of money America has? I really dont know. I'll let you answer that one for me.

My School

I go to Anderson High School, I am starting to like it a lot. At first, it was a little too big for me, but now that school is progressing, I am starting to like it more. Anderson is one of the biggest high schools in the state. In other words it is a 5a school. In it, there are three different stories, or levels. Floor one, the science and office floor. Floor 2, the math and social studies floor. And floor 3, the english and foreign language floor. I have classes on all three levels of the school.
Unlike most public schools in Austin, Anderson has no portables. What a portable is, is a little moveable building in which classes are held. Many of the public schools here have a whole lot of portables. I kind of like not having portables, because it saves a lot of energy. The walks to and from the portables can take a lot of time, which can lead to you being late to your other classes. Anderson also has a track. The track can both be fun, and not so fun. Because sometimes we have to run a lot. But now that I am adapting to a new school, I am really starting to like it.

Illegal Immagrants

Here, in America, we do have a problem with illegal immagrants. A big problem. Some of the things that we are doing right now to deal with them, is strengthening the border, and cutting down on the number of immagrants period. Some of the countries that we deal with are Mexico, and Cuba. Some of the hispanics come to the United States for freedom, and the opportunity to start a new life. Most of the Cubans though just come here to get away from situation happening in Cuba right now. Some of the immagrants also come here because they want to. I believe that that is ok.
I believe that if you are coming here to start a new life, that is ok. But if you are coming here just to escape from something, that is not. America is the land of opportunity, not the land of safety. Anyone running from a national disaster, or financial problems, need to be banned, or get permission from the United States government first. Many americans are angered by the hispanics coming to the United States for jobs. I am not angered by this. If they are willing to work hard for a living, and really try to do their best, then great. But if they do not want to work hard, then leave.

Hey, as you already know my name is Tyler, and I am from Austin Texas. I did a lot of really cool things this summer that I want to tell you about. First of all I just chilled at my house with family and friends. How can it get much better than that? Second, I played in a whole lot of golf tournaments, and I think that is awesome, because I love golf. In some of those tournaments, I got to travel, and see really cool new places. My best finish in a tournament this summer was I won 2 tournaments, one by 13 shots, and the other by 2! I met a lot of new people from other cities, and made some new friends.

Some of the vacations I went on this summer were really fun too. First of all, I went to Gulf Shores Alabama, and played a lot of golf. That may not sound very fun to you, but if you went, trust me, you would love it too. The reason we go down there is because my uncle George has a really cool beach house on this place called Ono Island. He has his own little beach front property, with a dock. I love to go down there soo much! Also when we go there, we play a whole lot of golf, we play this one course called Lost Key, it is the hardest golf course I have ever played in my whole life! We also play a course called Cotton Creek, designed by the great Arnold Palmer. I had a great summer, and I hope you did too!

Hi, my name is Tyler and I live in the great state of Texas. I have one really annoying sister and my mom and dad. My family is very special to me and we spend a lot of time together. Some of my hobbies consist of swimming, and most of all golf! I play in many junior tournaments all over Texas and sometimes even out of the state. My lowest round for any of you golfers out there is a 68. That was not in a tournament though. I think that my greatest accomplishment ever was at the end of the summer when i won a golf tournament by 13 shots! I also have a little dog named Mickey, he is really small, and white too. Another one of my hidden talents is that i play pool really well, an who knows maybe I can play professional golf and pool someday. There are many more things that i could tell you about myself and my family, but if I did I think that I would be writing for years!
